Dance was the platform on which Gopika and Abhilash met, got acquainted and fell in love with each other. They were from different communities, Gopika was barely 17 and so predictably, the relationship was opposed tooth and nail by both families.
But love triumphed over all obstacles and the couple got married.
Abhilash was a choreographer; he also rented out vehicles to film crews. They lived contentedly with Abilash's mother Treesa. Years passed and two children were born to them.
On the sets of Kailrali TV's Tharolsavam, in which Abhilash was the one of the choreographers , he met an artiste named Rekha. They were so drawn to each other that they soon started to stay together.
Gopika realized the gravity of the situation only very late in the day. But the loving wife that she is, she still batted for her husband, averring that that the thrice married Rekha had snared him and that her 'innocent' husband was staying with her under compulsion.
Gopika approached Kathayalla Jeevitham in a desperate attempt to bring Abhilash back to the family fold. Her touching tale was telecast a few days ago.
This week Abhilash and Rekha come down to the studios to present the counter point. Gopika and Treesa train their guns on the 'other woman' who had deprived one of a husband and the other of a son; Rekha, spits fire as she retaliates while Abhilash, the 'bone of contention' between the women, looks on in helpless silence.
